Privacy Policy

This website is operated by REFINED Men's Hair Salon, based at Chase Golf & Country Club, Pottal Pool Road, Penkridge, Staffordshire ST19 5RN.If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach us via Instagram (@refined_menshairsalon) or in person at the shop.

This website itself collects very little personal data:

• Contact enquiries. If you use the enquiry option on our contact page, it opens your own email app with your name, email address and message pre-filled. That information is sent by you, from your own email account — it is not stored on or processed by this website.
• Chat messages. If you use the chat widget, the messages you type are sent to our chat service so we can generate a reply. Your conversation is kept in your browser's session storage and is cleared when you close the tab. Please don't share sensitive personal details in chat.
• Cookie preferences. Your cookie choice is stored in your browser's local storage so we don't ask you again on every visit. This never leaves your device.

Bookings. All appointments are booked and managed through Booksy. When you book, your details are collected and processed by Booksy under their own privacy policy — not by this website. You can read Booksy's privacy policy on their website.

Contact enquiry details are used solely to respond to your message. We don't add you to marketing lists, we don't pre-tick opt-in boxes, and we don't sell or rent personal data to anyone.

This site uses no analytics or advertising trackers. The services that may touch your data are:

• Booksy — our booking platform. Booking data is processed by Booksy as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
• Google Maps — an embedded map on our contact page. The map only loads if you accept optional cookies; when it loads, Google may set its own cookies and process your IP address under Google's privacy policy.
• Google Fonts — loads the typefaces used on this site. Your browser connects to Google's servers to fetch the font files.
• Instagram — we link to our Instagram profile, but no Instagram content is embedded and nothing is shared with Instagram unless you click through.
• Chat service — the chat widget is powered by a secure serverless function (hosted on Supabase) that processes the messages you send in order to reply. Only what you type in the chat is sent.

You can change your cookie choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page.

Enquiry emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. Cookie preferences remain in your browser until you clear them. Booking data retention is managed by Booksy under their own policies.

You have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct inaccurate data;
• ask us to delete your data;
• object to or restrict how we use it; and
• complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how your data is handled.
